Degree Show

Here are some images of my degree show. It was a lot of fun, and the antlers, pheasant and owl now all live in my bedroom. Marvellous.

Get Stuffed

I haven't posted anything for ages as I've been working towards my final show. Recently I did some styling shots for my scarves so until I get more images of the scarves themselves, you can have a look at these. Photos are by Jack Watkins, the model is Lucy Blue.

On a Rainy Saturday.

When it is foul outside, there are no distractions from drawing. I wanted to refresh the imagery I've been using in my prints, so today I did these. I hope you like them.

Thanks Mr. Stag...

...for donating these beauts to my life. I bought them today from a man in a shop who has a pet owl that was perched atop a stuffed wildebeest head, dancing. I am not kidding. It is the best shop ever.

Oh Laverly.

I have been a busy bee, working on my final project. Which in itself is terrifying. But I have chosen to do a collection of prints for fashion, more specifically for scarves. I know that Grannies love them. But they are actually totally rad and FRESH. I hope. Well they will be. Anyway I'm enjoying myself.

Horace, most majestic of owls

This is Horace, my new boyfriend. I liberated him from my Uncle's barn, where he was very sad because he couldn't see out of his glass, because it was covered in about 30years worth of barn dust. All the glass was falling off and he looked very unloved. Also, my Uncle's wife is a vegetarian so I said I'd look after Horace because she will not have him in the house. I called him Horace because I think it suits his handsome (if slightly bug-eyed) face.

New Print Work

Here are a few bits I've been working on recently. They are all printed with procion on washed silk or silk crepe. The imagery is animal traps, which I have recently got very excited about, and these are a few ideas for background prints for fashion fabrics. I hope you like them, I think everything is starting to go a bit more how it is supposed to now. Also I have landed SUCH an exciting placement for when I graduate, so here's hoping all goes well and soon I will become a real person with a SALARY.
